Student Advisory Council (SAC)
This is an officially-recognized advisory council to the Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana System. Consisting of the Student Government presidents from the System’s nine universities, SAC provides an important link between the needs of the students on the campuses and the goals of the System. The Council members receive input, such as suggestions for improvements, from the students at each of the individual universities and share these inputs among the group. The student member on the Board acts as the Council’s spokesperson to the Board of Supervisors.
The 2017-18 SAC officers are:
- Ben Rice, ULS Student Board Member
- Adarian Williams, Board of Regents Student Member
- Mary McMahon, COSPB Parliamentarian
- Tommy Thibodeaux, SAC Chair
- Tre Nelson, SAC Vice Chair
- Seth Leto, SAC Service Learning/Civic Engagement Coordinator

Study Abroad Programs
There are three types of study abroad programs offered at UL System schools. Regardless of program type, students participating in study abroad programs earn credit at their home institution, just as if they were taking courses there. Grades earned are computed as part of the student’s official GPA. Click on the photo below to learn more.
