Bridging the Divide Summer Series

Bridging the Divide Returns This Summer
Microcredentials and Accessible Learning
This summer, the University of Louisiana System will relaunch the Bridging the Divide series, continuing the systemwide summer programming offered since 2020. This year’s series will focus on upskilling and reskilling through microcredentials, along with continued support for accessible teaching and learning.
Through access to the NASH Google Career Certificates, faculty, staff, and students across the System will have the opportunity to experience microcredential learning firsthand and explore how these offerings may complement existing programs, support professional growth, and create additional pathways for skill development. To express interest in participating or to request access, complete the Microcredential Access Interest Form available on the UL System website.
Programming will run from early June through early August, with each month focused on a different aspect of adoption. June sessions will focus on experiencing microcredential learning and understanding the format. July programming will explore how these skills may support campus work, including supplemental and foundational applications. August sessions will center on faculty use, including ways credentials may be paired with existing coursework to support student learning.
The series will also continue to incorporate sessions that support accessible course design and digital content, offering practical guidance campuses may use as they continue remediation efforts. Bridging the Divide remains open to participants across all UL System universities, creating a shared opportunity to explore emerging practices and learn together.
Education has the power to change lives.
