Strategic Plan Engagement Across UL System
Following the release of the One System. One Mission. Strategic Plan in summer 2025, UL System leadership visited member institutions during Fall 2025 to host campus town halls focused on the System’s 2025–2030 priorities. Led by President Rick Gallot, these conversations brought together faculty, staff, students, and community members to explore how the plan aligns with work already underway across our universities. Campus presidents provided an important institutional perspective while helping connect campus priorities with the broader direction of the UL System.
These discussions reinforced the value of working together as a System and helped identify opportunities to strengthen collaboration, share infrastructure, and advance the work of systemization across our institutions. With the engagement phase complete, 2026 marks the transition to implementation. Across the UL System, institutions and System leadership are advancing the priorities outlined in the plan while continuing to explore opportunities for deeper collaboration and shared infrastructure that strengthen the UL System and support the people, communities, and economy of Louisiana.

The UL System’s strategic plan outlines a shared vision for the future of higher education in Louisiana. Grounded in the mission to transform lives through education, the plan sets long-term goals focused on student success, institutional strength, and statewide impact.
