Today’s meeting was the first for newly appointed member Dr. John Noble of Lake Charles. Governor Landry appointed Noble, an orthopaedic surgeon and McNeese graduate, as an at-large member.

McNeese State University: approval to award an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters to the Honorable James D. Cain at the Spring 2024 Commencement Exercises.
McNeese State University: approval to award an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters to Mr. Doug Thornton at the Spring 2024 Commencement Exercises.
Nicholls State University: approval to name the College of Business Administration the “Al Danos College of Business Administration.”

FACILITIES PLANNING
Louisiana Tech University: approval for the execution of supplemental leases between the Board, on behalf of the University, and Innovative Student Facilities Inc., a private 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, in connection with the lease and leaseback of a portion of the University’s campus to finance the cost of the development, design, renovation, construction, and equipping of a new parking facility for students, faculty, and staff.
Louisiana Tech University: approval to execute a Ground Lease with the Louisiana Tech University Foundation, Inc., for the purpose of improving Aspire Plaza, pursuant to La. R.S. 17:3361, and to rename the site “Aspire at Les Guice Plaza.”
Louisiana Tech University: approval to name the new Athletic Academic Center the “Origin Bank Center for Student-Athlete Success.”
McNeese State University: approval to demolish the Equine Center.
Nicholls State University: approval to demolish the Swimming Pool Building (Pump House) located near the J.J. Ayo Pool.
Nicholls State University: approval to name Suite 14 in the Student Union, the offices of the executive boards of the Student Government Association, and the Student Programming Association, the “Dolly Lafont McGeever SGA/SPA Suite.”
University of Louisiana at Lafayette: approval to amend the Ground Lease with Ragin’ Cajuns Facilities, Inc. (RCFI) of the property known as the University’s Health Sciences Campus to allow RCFI to sublet the leasehold estate to subsidiaries of RCFI and to other third parties for the benefit of the board.
University of Louisiana at Monroe: approval to enter into a Grounds and Facilities Lease Agreement with ULM Facilities, Inc., to make safety and public access improvements to the softball complex, pursuant to La. R.S. 17:3361.

Nicholls State University: approval to enter into a lease agreement with Sodexo Operations, LLC for the operation of Food Service Facilities on the campus of Nicholls State University.
