Presidential Search Committees Appointed for Grambling State University and Northwestern State University

First Meetings and Public Forums Set for May 7 & 8

BATON ROUGE – The Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana System launched two campus presidential searches with the appointment of search committees by Board Chair E. Gerald “T-Boy” Hebert and announcement of meeting dates.  The Northwestern State University Presidential Search Committee will meet on the Natchitoches campus on Wednesday, May 7, and the Grambling State University Presidential Search Committee will meet on the Grambling campus on Thursday, May 8.

“Having participated in multiple presidential searches in the past, I take my responsibility to form these two search committees very seriously.  I believe these teams of Board, faculty, student, alumni, and community representatives will work hard to identify the best successors for Presidents Pogue and Webb,” said Hebert.

Each committee will hold its first meeting on campus to go over the search committee charge, approve a draft advertisement and tentative timeline, as well as conduct a public forum so faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community members can voice their desired qualifications for a new president.  All search committee meetings are open to the public.

Below are meeting logistics and committee appointments for both presidential searches.
