TWO UL SYSTEM SCHOOLS PARTNERING ON DUAL DEGREE PROGRAM

The Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana System approved a collaboration between Southeastern Louisiana University and the University of New Orleans to offer a dual-degree program offering students the opportunity to earn two Bachelor of Science degrees in five years. Students in the program will enroll in each university for five semesters to earn a degree in Physics from Southeastern and a degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from UNO.

UNO PARTNERS WITH TWO LCTCS INSTITUTIONS

The Board of Supervisors of the University of Louisiana System approved partnerships between the University of New Orleans and two Louisiana Community and Technical College System institutions-Northshore Technical Community College and Delgado Community College.

UNO and Northshore Technical Community College are entering into a cross enrollment agreement to accommodate students enrolled in either institution. Additionally, the two institutions are establishing a transferable pathway for NTCC students to become eligible for admission into UNO’s College of Engineering. Accepted students can pursue a baccalaureate degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering in addition to earning an associate degree and certificate from NTCC.

UNO and Delgado Community College are partnering which will provide a pathway for individuals who are not eligible for immediate admission to UNO. The program assists students in attaining eligibility through classes at DCC.
