ULS Board Meeting Moved to Thursday

BATON ROUGE – The Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana System will meet as a “Committee of the Whole” tomorrow at 10 a.m. instead of separate committee meetings and a full board meeting Friday morning. The unusual shift in the regularly scheduled business meeting is due to the threat of Hurricane Gustav.

WHAT: UL System Board Meeting

WHEN: 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 28

WHERE: First Floor Auditorium, Claiborne Building, 1201 N. Third Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70802

“Early predictions of Hurricane Gustav show a high probability of impacting Louisiana. As we have eight universities spread across the state, we must ensure our campus presidents and their top staff have time to make appropriate arrangements for the safety of their students. Moving the board meeting up will allow us to take care of important business with as minimal impact as possible on hurricane preparations,” said UL System President Randy Moffett.
